Welcome to the inaugural post of the new blog known as Edify. Shoulld you wish to link to this site, our address is http://www.2edify.blogspot.com . At Edify, our goal will be to post articles or links to articles which build up, improve, or benefit. Our purpose is to focus on the Sovereignty of God. Our aim is to glorify Him.

It is unfortunate that the Internet is littered with hundreds of theological controversies actively promoted by thousands of bloggers. They make it their mission to exploit those issues in such a way that creates wide-spread discontent and division. Arguments made for their own sake are extremely boring for some people. For others they foster a deep and devastating storm of discouragement. We repudiate those kinds of blog postings and we refuse to join the fray.

We do not pretend to be democratic and while comments will remain open, they will be carefully monitored. The criteria for getting your comment published is very simple: If we like it, we publish it.

What do we believe? We endorse and subscribe to the Baptist Faith & Message. A similar Affirmation of Faith with which we agree is published by Desiring God Ministries.
